No it's not a river it's just outside the Church. The photo to the far left is the inside and outside of the Church. It's knee deep!

So yes it rained again last night and some of the rivers have over flowed. Thankfully this has not affected my house the area were I live is totally dry. So school is cancelled for the next two day so I will enjoy the rest.

RAIN RAIN and more RAIN

I'm sure many of you can relate to this as I've heard that it has been raining lots in NI recently.

Well it rained here for about five days without stopping. As you can see the river is kind of full and it hasn't rained for three days. In Sukothai province and in other neigboring provinces there have been landslides causing many deaths. Very thankful it did not rain another day or the river wold have overflowed which would have been disasterous!!!

I am so happy to be cold again - seems a strange thing for a girl from Ireland to say!! But being hot all the time is not fun. Especially in your room when you have lots of things to do but don't want to do any of them cause it's so hot. I am really thankful that I can now really relax in my bedroom, write emails study Thai, and the Bible and not fall asleep : ) I can also sleep much better when I want to ie at night as I can also close the windows so it's not as noisy : ) and I now have a blamket so I don't get too cold!!! : )

After the home improvements. After a shopping spree to Bangkok (things are actually a lot cheaper there) and a dash throught the markets here, this is what I have came up with so far : )
PS. I made the curtains myself. Went to the market bought the material and then went to the sewing machine people there are lots of them by the roadside and told them what I wanted and hey presto - my neighbours to the back of the house are very very close, don't want to give them any nasty shocks!!!

HELLO sunny Sukothai my new yellow house, and it's also ver yhot and sunny inside and outside!! This is the new bike that I am borrowing - quite an upgrade from the last time!!
When I arrive inside there was one small table about 25cm by 15cm, 2 chairs - the living room!!
The kitchen a sink. My bedroom a table a chair and a bed.
Have been doing a few home improvements so watch this space! : )

Last week I said good bye to Lopburi, having my final lunch there in my fav restaurant. Sweet and sour cicken without the onions : )

Yes I managed to bake some scones. Note I don't show you a picture of the bottom of them!! the're a little brown no such thing as a fan oven. But very happy with the overall outcome : )

Hello Good Morning
It is 8am and I'm at school for the first day.
Sorry for the lack of communication in the last few days but I have just moved and don't have a connection at home yet. SO sorry also no pictures. So yes I have moved to Sukothai, with the cockroaches (the place was full of them when I arrived) The house had been empty for a month last time when people returned there were rats, so I'm not sure what is worse or better!!? Anyway after mass killing of entire families of cockraoches I haven't seen any alive ones for two days:) Apart from that settling into life here well. Getting lots of opportunities to practice Thai which is fun : )
